![]() ![]() In short, best wall clock I’ve ever had - while it is pricey (keep an eye on the price, I got it for less than the currently listed $75), it’s highly functional and it would be hard to go about my typical routine now without it. With this clock, it takes a second to glance over and check on multiple timers (see video - countdown happening for 5 seconds left in one timer, and there’s a mark at 20 minutes for another timer). I used to use just the Echo Show for timers, but it was a pain to keep asking how much time was remaining if I was in a place where I couldn’t see the screen. The C batteries have lasted several months without needing to be changed yet. It is heavy with the C batteries, so I have it hung securely (earthquake country here) with this Command hook () and it hasn’t budged through a few tremors. Well-made, SO simple to set up (paired with Echo Show in my kitchen), and nice looking - good accent over my range hood. I’ve had this clock since January, and use the timer function several times per week. If I was on a budget, I would not have bought it as this thing should be no more than like forty bucks considering all they are adding is a piece of glass and a brushed metal frame around what is basically a Amazon Echo clock. On the down-side, it is way more expensive than it should be. I guess they have a different phrase to distinguish between smart home automation devices and Bluetooth Echo accessories. A normal voice command to discover new smart devices just does not work. I had no issues getting it to pair and stay connected, just make sure you use the exact phrase listed in the tiny booklet it comes with (Alexa, set up my gadget). Many of the reviews say it drains really fast, but most of those people also complain of connection issues with the Echo so maybe that causes it to drain faster than normal. It also takes 4x C batteries instead of 6x AAs on the original, so I hope this means it lasts longer. The LEDs are blue and a little dimmer to see than the original, but they are completely hidden when not on and I think look nice as long as your kitchen is not extremely bright. I got this one because it looks much nicer with brushed metal and glass and easier to read dial that is very classic retro looking. (I like the automation, but I hate talking to her) I have just never been fond of the cheap plastic look of the original. I have had the original Amazon Echo clock for years now and use it constantly for kitchen timers and love to see that status of my timers without having to speak to Alexa. ![]() I compared Harris to Steven Jackson in The Ringer’s 2021 NFL Draft Guide, but I kinda wish I had gone with former Steelers star Le’Veon Bell instead. 1 receiver in the Bengals’ high-volume passing attack. Chase shouldn’t take long to establish himself as the alpha no. The cherry on top is that he gets to play with his college quarterback, Joe Burrow, in Cincinnati. WR Ja’Marr Chase, BengalsĬhase is a rare receiver prospect who checks pretty much every box fantasy drafters look for at the position: He’s a former four-star recruit and Biletnikoff Award winner who boasts explosive athleticism (4.38 40, 41-inch vertical, and 11-foot broad jump at his pro day), good size (6-feet, 200 pounds), top-end early production (he notched an 84-catch, 1,780-yard, 20-touchdown line as a 19-year-old), and elite draft capital (fifth overall). With a combination of arm strength and athleticism, Lance offers the potential to develop into an elite dual-threat fantasy quarterback. I do worry slightly about Lance’s lack of experience, both in quality (he played at a lower level at North Dakota State) and in quantity (he attempted just 318 passes in college), but it’s tough to bet against his skill set. Lance hit the jackpot by being selected third overall by Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers, a team that offers a quarterback-friendly scheme (one similar to what he played in college) featuring a plethora of YAC-creating playmakers (George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel can all turn a screen pass into a big gain) and an explosive run game. That gives him overall QB1 upside down the line. 11 and was the fourth quarterback to come off the board―but if Chicago can build a strong supporting cast around its new franchise quarterback and help him develop, Fields profiles as a terrifying stylistic blend of Dak Prescott and Cam Newton. It’s a bit of a red flag that the NFL apparently wasn’t quite sold on his talents―he fell slightly to the Bears at no. He’s a big-armed, hyper-accurate passer with legit 4.4 wheels as a runner―basically the platonic ideal for what fantasy drafters dream about at the position. I liked Trey Lance’s landing spot better, but I still value Fields just a touch higher. If Jacksonville chooses to utilize Lawrence in the read-option run game (which he ran at times at Clemson), the sky’s the limit. He profiles similarly to Justin Herbert as a fantasy QB: He’ll be more reliant on his arm, which might cap his ultimate fantasy upside and keep him from turning into a true dual-threat quarterback (like Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray), but the fact is, he can really scoot when he decides to scramble. Lawrence is one of the most highly anticipated quarterback prospects of the past decade, bringing a scintillating combination of passing talent and out-of-structure athleticism. Okay, with all that in mind, let’s dig in. You can find my rankings for one-quarterback leagues in list form at the bottom of the article. Finally, every case is different, but I tend to prioritize the strength of a player’s prospect profile over their specific landing spot.īecause superflex and PPR have started to become the standard format for dynasty leagues in the past couple of years, that’s how I’ll lay out my rankings here. At tight end, strong college production is a solid starting point, but take note of a prospect’s projected future role (i.e., whether they’ll be used as a blocking TE or receiving TE, with the latter more valuable)-and that player’s overall athleticism works as a nice tiebreaker when everything else is equal. Guys with direct paths to snaps or the ability to be featured in the passing game are obviously attractive, too. At receiver, I keep an eye on prospects who produced big numbers (by percentage of team’s passing yards and touchdowns) early in their college career, and the data has shown that early declares hit at a higher rate than those who break out late or declare for the draft as seniors.Īs for running backs, I look for prospects with strong college production and explosive physical traits, which can be apparent on tape and in their vertical jump, broad jump, or 10-yard split testing numbers. But draft capital isn’t everything: At quarterback, the guys who can run are like a cheat code in fantasy football. For starters, a prospect’s draft slot is important: Players chosen on days 1 and 2 of the draft are not only more talented, but they’re given more opportunities than those taken on Day 3. No one is going to agree completely on the hierarchy of the players below, but here are a few notes for how I formulate my ranks. ![]() ![]() For those of you with drafts on the horizon (and for those of you who just want to compare notes on already finished drafts), let’s just dig right into my dynasty superflex PPR ranks for the 2021 class. And the large number of integrations wizards for nearly all application servers on the market ensures that you can get started with a few clicks and not with reading documentation. Integrations into all popular IDEs makes profiling during development as easy as running your application. JProfiler integrates into your environment: We provide native agent libraries for a wide range of platforms, both for 32-bit and 64-bit JVMs. The ant tasks bundled with JProfiler allow you to perform all command line operations from your build script.īROADEST SUPPORT FOR PLATFORMS, IDES AND APPLICATION SERVERS This includes the ability to profile, export snapshot data and create snapshots comparisons from the command line. JProfiler has strong support for command line operations. The rich functionality around snapshot comparisons makes it easy to track progress. JProfiler is ideally suited as a QA tool, both during development as well as for dedicated QA teams. Questions like why objects are not garbage collected are answered with a single click of the mouse. Each view provides you with essential insights on the selected objects and lets you switch to different objects sets. 5 different views and lots of inspections show different aspects of the current set of objects. And what’s more, all these views are also available for your own custom probes that you can configure on the fly within JProfiler.įinding a memory leak can be impossible without the right tool. Each of these probes has its own set of useful views that gives you general insight, highlights performance problems and allows you to trace single events. In addition to the Java EE subsystems like JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, JSP/Servlets, JMS, web services and JNDI, JProfiler also presents high level information about RMI calls, files, sockets and processes. JProfiler has a number of probes that show you higher level data from interesting subsystems in the JRE. With its JEE support, JProfiler bridges the gap between a code profiler and a high-level JEE monitoring tool. Also, JProfiler adds a semantic layer on top of the low-level profiling data, like JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, JMS and JNDI calls that are presented in the CPU profiling views. In addition, the call tree is split up for each request URI. For example, in the JEE aggregation level you see the call tree in terms of the JEE components in your application. Hail is a good reflector of energy and will return very high dBZ values. These values are estimates of the rainfall per hour, updated each volume scan, with rainfall accumulated over time. Depending on the type of weather occurring and the area of the U.S., forecasters use a set of rainrates which are associated to the dBZ values. The higher the dBZ, the stronger the rainrate. Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Weather Forecast AccuWeather Current Weather 4:03 PM 65 F RealFeel Sun 69 RealFeel Shade 65 Air Quality Fair Wind W 4 mph Wind Gusts 7 mph Mostly. Typically, light rain is occurring when the dBZ value reaches 20. The scale of dBZ values is also related to the intensity of rainfall. The value of the dBZ depends upon the mode the radar is in at the time the image was created. Notice the color on each scale remains the same in both operational modes, only the values change. The other scale (near left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in precipitation mode (dBZ values from 5 to 75). One scale (far left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in clear air mode (dBZ values from -28 to +28). Each reflectivity image you see includes one of two color scales. The dBZ values increase as the strength of the signal returned to the radar increases. So, a more convenient number for calculations and comparison, a decibel (or logarithmic) scale (dBZ), is used. Reflectivity (designated by the letter Z) covers a wide range of signals (from very weak to very strong). "Reflectivity" is the amount of transmitted power returned to the radar receiver. In some cases, ink has actually gone through the surface of the eye and inside the eye itself. Tattoo artists might use the wrong ink or inject the ink too far into the sclera, for example. There isn’t any official training or certification process to perform eye tattoos, so problems can arise for many reasons. How they work – While traditional tattoos use tiny needles to carefully inject ink just below the upper layer of skin and “draw” it onto precise spots, scleral tattooing involves injecting the ink below a mucous membrane (conjunctiva) and allowing it to spread across the sclera below. Skin tattoos are generally a much safer option. There are two main reasons for this:Įye anatomy – The surface of the eye is extremely delicate and different from skin, which is thicker and less sensitive than eye tissue. Risks involved with eye tattoosĪ tattoo on your eye is very different from one you’d get on your skin. It might sound simple, but eye tattoos haven’t been medically researched or tested, and several things can go wrong. Tattoo artists create scleral tattoos by injecting ink below the conjunctiva and onto the surface of the sclera. That’s the layer that gets irritated and bloodshot when someone has pink eye or bad eye allergies. The white sclera is covered by a paper-thin membrane called the conjunctiva. They’re almost exclusively “for looks,” and rarely - if ever - worth the risk. Scleral tattoos, on the other hand, aren’t used for any medical conditions. But Galen didn’t use his tattoo for artistic purposes he used it to cover a white scar (leucomata) on an otherwise transparent cornea.Ī laser-assisted version of Galen’s procedure can be performed today, but it’s only considered when people meet specific, rare conditions. The first known scleral tattoo was performed in 2007.īy contrast, the first corneal tattoo was likely done around 1,900 years ago by the famed Roman physician Galen of Pergamon. Scleral tattoos are a relatively new addition to the body modification scene, considering humans have been tattooing their skin for thousands of years. If the idea of injecting ink into your eye makes you wince, it’s for good reason - an eyeball tattoo is one risky proposition. They also go by the name scleral tattoos. Eye tattoos are permanent dyes injected onto the white part of the eye, called the sclera. ![]() Here are some examples of career opportunities for graduates of Fanshawe’s Event Planning program: Career opportunities can be found with a variety of employers, including:ĭid you know Fanshawe consistently ranks high in graduation employment rates among large colleges in Ontario?
